Balmain Hair Couture

Ok. So it’s official. I have become a hair blogger.. haha just kidding! It’s just funny I receive so many hair products as gifts. But it’s also fun to get to test them all out. Athough I only mention the best ones! Some of them just don’t do anything for me.. and it’s fine because we’re all different and our hair is different.

Balmain Hair Couture. If you have read my blog before, you know that I have mentioned Balmain before. I talked about their dry shampoo which was amazing! Read the blog post here. PS. the blog post is in Estonian, but long story short – it is my favourite dry shampoo to date because it felt so fresh and actually made my hair feel clean.

I won’t talk too much about the brand because Balmain should be known to almost everyone.

“As part of the Balmain Paris fashion label, Balmain Paris Hair Couture has over 40  years of heritage in combining hair essentials with the latest catwalk trends. The collections are inspired by backstage secrets and mirror all a woman needs to create the ultimate catwalk inspired look.”

Revitalizing shampoo. This shampoo is meant for dry and damaged hair, includes vitamin E, F, P. It definitely has lighter consistency than other shampoos for damaged hair. It always leaves my hair light and easily manageable. I haven’t noticed a real big difference in the contition of my hair but I guess you’d have to use it for a bit longer to see that. It’s not the most amazing shampoo I have ever tried but in general, I quite like it. Especially I like that it has a pump, very convenient to use. Oh, and it doesn’t have a strong scent to it, instead it’s quite mild.

Revitalizing conditioner. So this should be the ultimate lightweight nourishing conditioner for dry and damaged hair. I agree, it is very lightweight, so perfect for dry and thin hair. To be honest, I can’t really use super moisturizing shampoos and conditioners because they just make my hair too greasy. Therefore, I like this one. Again, it’s not amazing but I don’t dislike it. Although I haven’t noticed a big difference while using this conditioner, I will continue using it, to see if I can see anything longterm.

Repair mask. This one is pretty good. Although it is a thicker mask, it still doesn’t leave my thin hair heavy. It is enriched with signature Balmain scent and you can definitely feel that. A salon treatment at home as they describe!

In conclusion, here are some pros of all the products:

  • Great scent
  • Doesn’t leave hair heavy
  • Beautiful packaging
  • Brand with a long history

And also some cons:

  • Price is fairly high ( around 29€ for shampoo and conditioner; 34€ for mask ). But to be fair, that’s a usual price for salon hair care.
  • Other than that I can’t really say anything bad about these products!

I hope you enjoyed this blog post and see you soon! PS. Sorry for being away for so long, had some crazy times over here for a while.. I took part in a reality TV show here in Estonia and it’s been a rollercoaster! Very exciting though! I may talk about that next time..
